day five.

Journal Prompt Number 5:
We are all obviously bloggers right, or else you wouldn't be here :) Even if you don't have a blog, I know that you read them.
This page is dedicated to your favorite blogs!! What are they? Are there any blogs that you can't go a day without checking?

i'm super excited that i finished this one within the same day and am posting it on it's correct day!! haha. i think andrew was getting a bit frustrated that i'm spending a lot of my time drawing, but i really can't help it. tonight i'm drawing with six other people in the room - all guamanian and all awesome. haha. andrew's little sister and niece are sitting on the floor next to me and coloring with my sharpies on the four pieces of paper that i ripped out of my notebook. i wasn't sure if i should give them paper from my notebook, but today was the first day lana (andrew's sister) actually talked to me without being forced to. she even took a picture with me! haha. it's on her mom's camera though, otherwise i would post it on here.

anyways, my favorite blogs! i drew the banners from them and all of the names of them are there!
run with scissors - this is a new favorite, and of course my source for this journal challenge. i wouldn't be here without it :)
whippy cake - kind of a new favorite, i found it a few weeks ago and fell in love. i love pretty much everything about it!
black & bows - my best friend, danielle's, blog. she's such an amazing writer and she too, is doing the journal challenge.
keiko lynn - i'm pretty sure danielle showed me this blog and i looove it. it's definitely fashion at it's finest. i kind of aspire to be keiko, where most of my clothes are thrifted, vintage or really cheap and absolutely fantastic.
always, elle - this is danielle's old blog. she just ended it a week or so ago, so i decided to add it in because up until then it was one of my favorites. i was kind of disappointed when she decided not to continue it!! but she's off to bigger and better things now :)
miss.elise - my favorite blog on tumblr, filled with pictures and tattoos. i actually really like the posts about her more than her posts about tattoos and girls. she's another person that aspire to be like! i just discovered it a week or so ago, but i seriously sat around for a few days looking through her old posts. i only got like, halfway through all of them!
sometimes sweet - i just found this blog a few days ago, but i love it! tattoo tuesday, baby updates, prescott, everything! it's amazing.
aaaanyways, i highly recommend every single one of these blogs :D

day four.

Journal Prompt Number 4: What does your heart look like? It can be literal, it can be symbolic, it can be broken and need fixing...anything!

it was hard for me to finish this because i was in the car for six hours driving to california! i started early yesterday morning, just trying to figure out what i wanted to do. it took me until i got to the hotel to figure it out and i started over so many times! each puzzle piece is a part of my heart. there are two empty ones because i don't feel like my heart is completely full yet, but i know it's getting much closer everyday.

anyways, i have a wedding for two people i don't know today... should be exciting. haha. hopefully i can get the next one done too!

day three.

Journal Prompt Number Three: It's always nice to share with someone why you love them. Today, I want you to draw a picture, doodle, sketch, of a person who you love, or admire. Then, write that person a letter telling them why they mean so much to you!

after a full day of drawing yesterday i was almost hesitant to start this one. i wasn't sure if i wanted to spend all day drawing because i actually have a lot to do today! i also had a hard time choosing who i wanted to write a letter to because i have so many people in my life that i love. yesterday i spent a lot of time with my brother, which hasn't happened in a long time. he got his permit and texted me to know when he was leaving, standing in line, next in line, and when he finally passed. later that night we (me, austin, steven, devon and andrew) piled into my car for austin's first driving lesson. he actually did a really good job and i absolutely had a blast teaching him :) it's kind of hard to see, but the last line says, "ps. drive safe!"

this one isn't as colorful and intricate as my other ones were, but i love it all the same. like i said, i have a lot to do today! tomorrow i'm leaving for california with andrew and his family to go to disneyland and a guamanian wedding. i'm really excited to get out of chandler and have a fun, worry free week with andrew :] not only do i have to pack, but i have to give selling my flute another shot. I NEED MO MONEY. haha. anyyywayyyssss...

oh. and i'm kind of worried i won't keep up with the challenge during my little vacation :/ but, i will try my hardest and if i don't keep up i will catch up! haha.

...up...

anyways. BYE!

day two.

Journal Prompt Number 2: What is the BEST part of your day?
Is it working out?
Is it "quitting time" at work?
Is it dinner with the fam?
What is it?
You can write about it, draw it, sketch it, doodle it, anything you like!

so let me just say, it's only the second day, but i am having SO much fun with this journal project. i finished day number one within the first four hours of the day. all day i could only think about today and working on the next prompt. i got so excited and wanted to draw so i decided to decorate my front cover. i couldn't buy a new journal so i had to use one that i found in my house. it's nothing special, so i covered it with two brown paper bags and purple duck tape. i'm not really sure why i chose that, but i did. i decided to write that i, sam, have accepted the 30 day journal challenge. it took me all the way until day two started and i couldn't be happier with drawing all night long. i seriously forgot how much i love drawing.

the second prompt made me think about what my favorite part of the day is. at first i really have NO idea. i couldn't think of anything because my days have been filled with absolutely nothing. i wake up pretty late, stay in bed for an hour or two until i get hungry enough to go downstairs and eat. i usually either stay downstairs and watch tv or go back up to my room tumble or facebook. so i had to seriously think about my favorite part of the day. and thinking about it, it's when i go to bed. so i decided that i would draw a bed with things that could only be together if i dreamed about it. the bed posts are tree branches that meet at the top to make a bird's nest, then a palm tree and snow. i really love this one and it took me ALL day!! i finished it about an hour ago. today's actually been one of my more productive days. even though i really didn't get anything done, i've constantly been doing anything.

AH. i really wanted to post this before midnight, but my brother's friend was here and kept talking and making me look at failbook.com. very funny by the way. haha.

anyways. DAY THREE, COMMENCE!!!

oh, and the quote says, "dreams are illustrations... from the book your soul is writing about." - marsha norman.

okay, blogger is saying that i posted this on wednesday at 10:13, but it was really 12:03. so. yeah. just saying!! :D

day one.

Journal Prompt Number 1: Create a full page design introducing yourself :)
Highlight your name many times in the midst of your design.
I chose to use a lot of line design because I love it so much lately.
I also chose to draw some of the things that I like as well in there!!
Have fun, be creative, don't stress, just jump right in!!

YAY!! i started working on the first prompt just after midnight and didn't stop until i was done! IT TOOK ME FOUR HOURS!!! but i love it. it's so random and colorful, with a lot of things that i love, a lot of things that i just thought of on the spot, a lot of things i draw a lot, and just things that are a part of my life. first i drew everything with pencil, then i outlined it with black and then i finally colored everything in. i didn't color in the head and shoulders, i figured it would be too busy, and i wanted it to stand out. but can i say, i absolutely LOVE it!! the whole thing, every part of it :)

i kind of wish i had done this yesterday, because i really want to move on to prompt two!!

30 day challenge :)

YES!

i'll start tomorrow :) i really want to go buy a nice journal for all of this, but i'll probably just see what i have around the house. or try to find something super cheap at target.

on a different note, i finally finished something on my 20 before 20 list!!

number 3 - dye my hair

yayayayay for finally accomplishing something!!

oh and, i don't know if i mentioned this in the blog i wrote earlier, but i had an awesome fourth of july weekend. it was full of driving, family, boyfriend, prescott, pictures, lake, dogs, laughs, presents, and amazingness.

being in prescott (which is oh so very close and similar to flagstaff) made me realize even more how much i want to be there and not here. i'm talking about it with andrew right now, and it's actually making me sad, because i know if i leave, i'll be leaving him here. i wish i could take him. i wish he would want to go. but i know he would be just as miserable there as i am here.

i... am not in such a great mood anymore :/

i can't stand this for much longer.

i'm so incredibly bored. all i've done today is eat my leftovers from last night and look at pictures on tumblr. and i've been up for six hours. i think i might take a risk. i want to accomplish something on my 20 before 20 list. i haven't been feeling so great, but i'm going to take an advil or two and get out of this house. i know i wasn't here at all yesterday, but i feel like i'm trapped here. i have about $60. i was going to save it for my trip to disneyland with andrew, but i can't go anymore because $60 isn't enough to pay for disneyland.

so yeah. i'm over being stuck in this house.

bye!
